Rounding out this racing season, our last race, HOPE, ARKANSAS. We have seen some really rough tracks this season, so it will be a great way to end the season with a "WELL GROOMED" track. For everyone who is involved with preparing this track for our final race, please know that ALL of the LSMRA racers REALLY appreciate the track in HOPE.
The Hope Watermelon Festival is our host for this race. This is a HUGE event. Races start at 10:00 a.m. (registration at 8:00 a.m), so maybe we will be escaping the grueling mid-day August heat. Bring a lot of water, gatorade, ice, etc. to keep hydrated. Get a good night's rest the night before. The points earned at this race will be crucial for placement in several classes. The PRESSURE is ON!!
This race is like an LSMRA family reunioin because it is anticipated that all active members and more will be in Hope. To keep our group organized and professional, PLEASE pay attention to schedule times and announcements. The heat and tension brings out tempers, so . . . think courtesy and organization.
Tech Inspection at the "TECH TENT" will begin at 8:15 a.m. by class race order (A/P, IMOW, S/P, C/P, B/P, F/X). Be sure to have two springs on your carborator, check your measurements including bottom of frame and deck height, side-wall to side-wall on tires, kill switches, brakes, and on IMOW's 8 to 1's with transmission shifted to highest gear, RPM's, and tire diameter.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!! After the race, enjoy all of the festivities associated with this Festival: Watermelon Eating and Seed Spitting Contests, Antique Car, Hot Rod and Motorcycle Shows, Baseball and Softball Tournaments, and a Joe Nichols Concert on Saturday night, AND SO MUCH MORE!
